AQUOSケータイ　923SH　[プロダクト] [編集]

先日発表された、ソフトバンクの「923SH」。AQUOSケータイの第五段モデルだ。

ソフトバンクでの最高機能機種という位置づけ。
一発キーで辞書機能が使え、尚かつウィキペディアとも連携している。

一番注目すべき点は、「AQUOS」を利用した「Yahoo! JAPAN for AQUOS」というサービス。
専用アプリケーションを使用し、携帯電話の赤外線通信機能をリモコン代わりにしてそのままテレビでYahoo!JAPANにアクセス、操作できるというもの。
テレビがPCモニター、ケータイがキーボードの変わりになると考えた方が分かり易いだろう。

直接、家電とケータイとを連動させたサービスはこれが初めてかな？
これからのケータイコンテンツは、私達の身の回りにある様々なプロダクトに介入してくる。
その皮切りとして、テレビと連携したサービスというのは丁度良いだろう。
現在はAQUOSのみに対応したサービスだが、孫社長のコメントでは今後色々なメーカーとのサービスの提携を検討していくとのこと。

このサービス、どれくらいまで実用的に使いこなせるのかはまだ発売されていないので分からないが、今後更にハイスペックになりwebだけでなく動画・音楽などのサービスがフルで有意義に使える様になれば面白いと思う。

PCを立ち上げなくてもwebを大画面で使用出来るというのも魅力の一つ。
そのうち、ケータイに保存した番組や映画などをテレビで見る...という事も出来るようになるのかな？
ケータイ本体にストック出来る容量は限られるが、ダウンロードしなくても購入した映画などはサイト内の自身のページにてストックし、ログインすればwebから直接いつでも何回でも見る事が出来るよーになれば凄い良い。そうなれば、DVDの必要性も薄れてくる。

テレビでPCが使えるというものもあるが、こういったケータイの性能が整ってくればそんなものは必要なくなるだろう。

ケータイを中心として、今後の家電は徐々に統合されていくのだろうか？
その可能性はかなり高いと言われている。いや、実際にそうなる。

まず、テレビとPCが一緒になる。それをより快適に使用する為にケータイが必要となる。
こういった具合に、一つのプロダクトを中心に他のプロダクトの機能が取り込まれていく。
そして、もともとのその機能のみをもっていたプロダクトは存在価値が薄れていく。

私はそのものらしさを感じられるプロダクトが好きだ。
単に便利な物を追求しすぎてしまうと、全部が似たりよったりになってしまう。
そういったものはつまらないものだ。

時代が進むにつれて、つまらないものが増えていくような気もしている。
ちょっとくらい使いにくくても、ださくても、愛着が持てるならそれでもいい。いや、それがいい。
そうしたプロダクトの方がなんか良いよなって思うんですよね。

人間味のあるプロダクトっていうかね。
