どこで誰と語るか

この間の「爆笑問題のニッポンの教養」に川崎和男さんが出演していた。

ペイリン副大統領候補のメガネでニュースでも紹介されている川崎さん。そんなことになるとも知らない時に収録されたはずであろう番組が、そんな時に放送されているのも、やっぱりトップデザイナーである人ならではだなと思う。

この番組は初めて見たんですが、お笑い芸人とデザイナーとの対談もいいもんだなと思った。
多くのデザイナーは普段はあまりメディアに出ません。だから彼らの話とか考えとかを聞いたり知るためには、デザインの専門誌を見るか講演会とかに行くしか無いのです。（ブログもありますが）
そこでのデザイナーに対する聞き手は、デザイン業界に精通している人である場合がほとんどで、専門的かつ内輪的な話になりやすい。それはそれで面白く興味深いのですが...。

何が言いたいかというと、別の業界の人、違った世界で生きている人と話す事でしか聞き出せないこともあるということです。私達が普段は気にしていないような・当たり前だと思っているような事を彼らは疑問として投げかけてきます。それに対してその道の達人がどう返答するのか。そこからは意外な考えだったり、「ハッ」とするような言葉を言ったりするわけです。

そしてそれを聞いて、自分はまだまだだなと思ってもみたりする。

同じNHKのプロフェッショナルという番組が面白いのも、茂木さんという洞察力に優れた人が、ゲストの本質的な部分、人間としての部分を会話を通して引き出しているからに他なりません。それがなければ、ただ単にゲストを紹介する番組でしかありません。
そして、そういうやり取りはおよそ同じ業界にいる人には引き出す事が出来ない。

以前にも増してデザイナーは語るようにはなってきています。
しかし、そこでの聞き手と語られる場に関してはまだまだそんなに幅は広がっていない。
そう考えると、デザインの一歩外へと踏み込んでいる人はまだ少ないのかもしれません。

「デザインに興味を持っている人がいることを前提にセッティングされた場」では無い所で、どれだけデザイナーのコトバに触れる事が出来るか。そういう機会が増えていくことは、一方では「もてはやされている」とか「売れっ子」とか「単にメディアへの露出が増えただけ」と思う人もいるかもしれませんが、結果として興味を持つ人が増えた事、その人のコトバを聞いてみたいという人が広範囲に及んで増えた事には変わりありません。だから私はそういう状況を肯定する側であります。

いずれにせよ、この話は本人の発信力があって実を結んでいくことではありますが。
業界内で評価される事は難しいですが、業界の外にも評価されることの方がもっと難しい。

この番組は個人的に大好きで、当然これも観ました。
爆笑問題（太田さん）はお笑いに特化した番組よりも、
文化人とバチバチ意見を戦わせる番組の方が面白いよね。

これの過去にやった特番はいまだに録画したのを置いてあります。

太田さんみたいに色々な人に対して意見をぶつけられる人って少ないですよね。大抵の人はその道のプロを目の前にすると身構えてしまう。なんででしょうね？

I tend to some what agree with what was said but in hindsight I don’t follow the subject very well. You might have a much better grasp than I.
