北京五輪 閉幕 [思った事]

北京五輪が終わった。
閉会式も盛大に行われ、中国国民の方達は熱狂に熱狂を重ねたことだろう。

レオナ・ルイスとジミー・ペイジのコラボもあったが、オリンピックならではのセッティングだろう。
普通ではありえないですものね。おじいちゃんと孫くらい歳の離れた二人、かっこよかったです。

個人的にはずっとバスケをやっていたこともあり、今回アメリカが金メダルを取るのかどうかが気になっていた。決勝こそスペインと接戦を繰り広げましたが(予選での対戦では圧勝)、久しぶりに強いアメリカのバスケを国際試合で見る事が出来た。

ここ何年かの国際試合ではアメリカは苦戦続き。前回のアテネではアルゼンチンが金を取るなど、世界全体でのバスケのレベルは上がっています。NBAと国際試合とではルールがかなり違うため、NBA選手が主体のアメリカがそれにアジャスト出来きれなかったりと色々と原因はありますが、昔の様にアメリカの横綱相撲が通用しなくなったのは事実です。

それでもやはり強かったなぁ。個人的なレベルではやはり群を抜いていました。

普段見慣れているNBAはエンターテイメント性が強いため、オリンピックの試合自体はあまり面白いと感じませんでした。間違いなく試合としてはNBAの方が面白い。スポーツによってこの辺りの考え方が随分と変わってくるなと改めて感じたオリンピックでもありました。

あとちなみに、スペインには17歳の子がプレーしていました。
スポーツ選手の若年齢化は今に始まったことではありませんが、個人競技と比べてチーム競技ではまだまだそう多くはありません。
17歳の子は凄かったですよ。巧いだけじゃなくて落ち着いているし、可能性の高さを感じました。近い将来、彼は間違いなくNBAでプレーするでしょう。ひょっとしたら来年くらいにも出て来そうです。

今回は完全に僕の趣味の話ですね。
だって、バスケの話なんてバスケやっている人にしか通用しないんですもの。
サッカーはいいよなぁ...。

あと、グーグルのオリンオピックも閉会式バージョンとなり、これで見納めですね。
